Why is energy being put into targeting Fianna Fail? Just what tactical sense does it make?

Fianna Fail are so unpopular now , being intelligent representatives of the ruling elite they will figure they might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb right now.

Bertie Ahern has an enormous political machine with a huge vote , one of the biggest in the country. He's untouchable politically. Hes not even active in politics and wont get blamed for anything. The DAil elections are too far away. Pick on the councillors for God sake, not the TDS/

Why not target their soft underbelly the Green Party? Would not a little bit of pressure here work wonders. They are the small fry with the liberal vote. Take the greens out and the Goverment comes down like Humpty Dumpty.

What the f**k does Cyprian Brady care about his support base just right now? Its damaged anyway. Hes not going to desert the party, because he relies on them to put them in next time. ( fif he gets back at all )y He comes from a Fianna Fail political dynasty. He'll just sit this shit out, batten down the hatches and wait for you guys to wear yourselves out with your megaphone rants. Thats what I would do if I was him. He might be stupid but the back boys who pull his strings sure aint! It always works because the Irish left is utterly boringly predictible.

I believe you mean well in protesting but do we want to cause change or do we just want to express ourselves and let off a little bit of steam? I think people who engage in verbiage and like to let off steam should be ignored, even by those who agree with the points they are making.

People will however support those who do things , however small initially, which have the potential to force change. They know you are small and cant work miracles. A small step in the right direction is worth supporting but this .....?

In my opinion all you are doing is damaging your own crediblity. Everybody in Ireland is complaining about the government right now. It doesnt matter. All that matters is what they are doing about it.

We dont JUST disagree with the budget cuts , we want them reversed. .

Why dont you organise a petition / pledge and organise people in schools and colleges not to vote for any Fianna Fail / Green / councillors or council candidates who support the cuts?

Work the constituency. Name names Make it personal. Every election is about one individual so make it individual. Ask the local councillor does he support the cuts and will he vote for a censure motion. MAke him put his position on t he line. When he doesnt publicise his response.

Organise disseffection and direct it into a direct cause and effect situation right here right now.
