An evening of storytelling on the themes of witchcraft, death and gore
Lost Souls Walk Again
An evening of storytelling on the themes of witchcraft, death and gore
In the Library Bar Extension, Central Hotel,
Exchequer Street (just off South Great George's Street), Dublin 2
On Thursday 30 October. Show starts 8 pm sharp. Doors open 7.30. To commemorate the Night of the Dead,
when the windows between this world and the next are torn off their hinges
and all kinds of malicious spirits wander the earth in search of mortal prey,
and the victims they seek awaken in the chilly sweat of fear
and cling desperately to their Rosary beads, their Korans, their stethoscopes
or whatever other talismans they can lay their trembling hands on,
and feverishly mutter whatever prayers and incantations to protect them ...
The world's FIRST,
the world's BEST,
the world's ONLY Narrative Arts Club
proudly presents:
Lost Souls Walk Again - an evening of storytelling on the themes of witchcraft, death and gore
Including:
The shaman's shadow
Miss Crozier's revenge
The lonely vampire maid
Note: This show is not suitable for young children. In fact, it may not be suitable for nervous or prudish adults either.
We invite you to forget what storytelling was, and find out what it might be. This is eye-contact theatre for the noughties: innovative urban storytelling for the 21st century.
"This is something modern, perplexing and thoroughly engaging, which knows no boundaries and succumbs to few taboos." - Chad Buterbaugh
As it is likely that this show will be sold out a couple of days in advance,
you are advised to BOOK seats to avoid disappointment.
To book, please text names to The Oh-Aissieux at 086 060 38 18.

Rane in the forest
Land of the dead
Ebola ball - by Adam Wilson
Mr Silver and Miss Crozier
Interval
Goodbye to Miss Crozier
The shaman's shadow
The Congolese talisman - by Adam Wilson
The lonely chatelaine
The highlight of the evening was Adam Wilson's presentation of his two chilling new works of narrative art:
1. Ebola ball
A young Irish engineer, working in Nigeria, meets a wealthy businessman, Prince Prospero, who invites him to a very elaborate fancy-dress party. Prospero is furious to see that somebody has defied his order that nobody should dress as a victim of ebola.
2. The Congolese talisman
When the young engineer gives his parents a macabre souvenir from central Africa: the mummified hand of a chimpanzee or orangutan, his father sneers at the idea that the gruesome gift has the power to fulfil their desires.
Thanks to Adam for presenting the debut of these two tales.
Thanks also to all who came to listen.
