As suspected the Bush administration is expanding the war into northern Pakistan. It was revealed this week that a secret order to deploy U.S. special forces into northern Pakistan was signed by Bush in July. The compromise of Pakistan's sovereignty is illegal under international law and opposed by the Pakistan government and military, large sections of which suspect an Indian agenda being pushed in U.S. Afghan policy. The potential for escalted and expanded war is underway, the potential for a nuclear exchange between the nuclear armed states on the subcontinent has just increased.
