The case between an unfairly dismissed union activist and Lionbridge corporation started in July with solidarity pickets throughout Europe. On August 13, the parties in the dispute met again in the Warsaw Labor Court. The company officially accused the activist of revealing company secrets on the internet portal CIA. (www.cia.bzzz.net). No details of what secrets he allegedly revealed were given in the dismissal letter. Labor activists who have looked at the case consider the it bogus. The State Labor Inspector recently confirmed that the unionist was in fact illegally dismissed. |

Jump To Comment: 1I'm a freelancer and have worked for Lionbridge. They stink. They take their bloody time paying you and I've heard that some people have had to wait for up to a year to get their money. I hope they lose the case and finally learn that it is not OK to keep fucking over people.
Is there anything to be done about companies like that which refuse to pay their contractors on time?
