Wednesday, 28 May 2008, 7.30pm-9.30pm, Filmbase, Curved Street Building, Temple Bar, Dublin

Amnesty International is a member of the Cluster Munitions Coalition, a global network of 200 civil society organisations working in over 70 countries to end the harm caused by cluster munitions.

An international intergovernmental conference will be held in Dublin from 19 – 30 May this year where a draft Convention banning the development or use of cluster munitions will be discussed. It is hoped that the draft convention to emerge from the Dublin conference will be approved for signature in Oslo in December 2008.

A series of events are taking place in May 2008 as part of this conference.
