Why are climate alarmists so impervious to facts, so averse to rational cost-benefit analysis? It has all the hallmarks of a religious cult, says James Allan. They can't let it go because it gives meaning to their lives.

Nazis Thwarted in UCC

category cork | miscellaneous | news report author Tuesday March 04, 2008 22:01author by Sirius Doyle - UCC Students Against Fascism Report this post to the editors

Fascists Organisers chased off campus

Holocaust Denier and Neo-Nazi organiser Brian Wallace, a.k.a David Noone attempted to use UCC as a recruiting ground today, before being confronted by anti-fascist student activists in UCC.

The strange individual was not alone, being accompanied by a short, unkempt, bearded man. Both of them were distributing leaflets throughout campus, attacking UCC's 'psuedo-historians', described by Wallace as 'wicked liars', and promoting what the leaflet referred to as 'revisionist education' (Holocaust Denial). The leaflet also contained pictures of holocaust deniers David Irving and Germar Rudolf, as well as links to various fascist websites.

The two men were spotted on campus around three o'clock, recognised with the help of pictures carried by Indymedia, and were confronted by several UCC activists who ensured that the two fascists were driven off campus by security guards. The two men were later spotted entering a house on Vincent's Terrace, about a minute's walk from campus. It is possible that the Nazis

This incident comes just a few days before Holocaust Denier, and self-described 'mild fascist', David irving is scheduled to speak at a Philosoph debate on campus. There is clear evidence both from Nazi websites like (Name of nazi site removed in line with Indymedia 'No Platform' policy), and Irving's own home page, that this debate will be used by fascists to organise in the Cork area. This incident is a further vindication of our argument that giving fascists a platform is completely wrong and shows clearly that Nazis are seeking to exploit this event to spread their poison.

Socialist Youth are utterly opposed to the Philosoph's decision to invite Irving to speak and will be campaigning actively against his debate. If you want to stop Irving then please turn up at UCC main gates on Monday, 10th of March, at 6.30pm, to join our protest.

The photos included below are a few years old and show Brian Wallace when he attempted to organise in UCD. He is now a few years older and has put on some weight. We hope to have pictures of him and his little buddy up later this week.
