Jump To Comment: 1 2 3Supreme court ruled against the fathers of Irish Citizen children this morning
I remember when the Supreme Court ruled against David Norris in the gayrights case, some enterprising person brought out a"Fuck The Supreme Court" badge. Its time has come again.
When Garda from The GNIB comes to knock on my I shall tell my Children that all will be well.
I will not resist when Garda come for me because I would not like my Children to see their Da being Handcuffed and forcefully restrained or even tranquilized. So that my children will not think that all is not well.
Their Da will not be able to take them to School and for Irish Dancing Classes and for Swimming and for Piano lessons anymore but I will tell them that it shall be well.
I will tell them that I cannot take them with me because they are going to be aliens back home and their quality of life will be greatly diminished if they follow because eventually all will be well.
I know they shall cry at Night for their Da and they shall wish their Da was around for their Birthdays, to help with Home work, to drop them off for sleepover at the houses of their Friends like Niamh, Aoife, Siobhan, Rebecca, Ruth and Jasmine but I shall tell my Children not to worry Because I have faith in God and I know that all will be well.
I shall not be around to ensure that they do not keep bad company I shall not be around to listen to their thoughts, I shall not be around to Confort them in times of emotional distress but I know that al will be well.
I shall miss Ireland and all the wonder full people I have met in the last three years, My Class mates, My Neighbours, Church Members and the Workers in all the places where I have done Voluntary work. But then can you Question the Wisdom of Five Supreme Court Judges? No. That is why I believe that all will be well.
