Why is it that Genuine Irish Trade Unionists, and the De Rossa, O'Connor O'Flynn kind all flock to foreign fields?
There is enough work in Ireland, ie exposing the DE Rossa, O'Connor and O'Flynn types to keep Genuine Trade Unionists busy for a Thousand years.
Once SIPTU is exposed for what it is - its members will leave in droves - and look for a genuine Trade Union, one which honours James Connolly and Jim Larkin and doesn't just pay lip-service to their memory - while selling workers out to their partners, the employers.
It is important to mention the overwhelmingly latino nature of the demonstration because it was a demonstration for immigrant right. Latino immigrants face deportation, the break up of their families, etc. They are criminalized for being workers and they stood up for themselves as Latinos and workers by their thousands on May Day around the country.
