Picket On Rogue Clinic 50 Upper Dorset St

category dublin | gender and sexuality | event notice author Friday March 30, 2007 19:23author by pat c - Choice Ireland Report this post to the editors

Following on from the successful actions at the Rogue Counselling agency at 50 Upper Dorset Street, a further protest will be held on Saturday 21 April at 12 noon.

Choice ireland will keep the pressure on the liars and misogynists who run this establishment until they either shut or make it clear that they are an anti choice agency. Their advertisements in the Golden Pages and elswhere imply that are Pro Choice and that they have links with Abortion Clinics in Britain.

Over the last few weeks, we have been gathering information about a rogue agency operating in Dublin. We have gained first hand knowledge that this agency is using unethical tactics, such as providing false information about abortions. This may have the consequence of forcing a woman to go through a later term abortion and thus increasing how evasive the procedure need be. Also they use scare tactics such as stressing the possible side effects. For example they claimed that one such potential side was that women are more liking to abuse future children if they have an abortion.

I attended the WRC a number of weeks ago in their Southwestern branch. The 'advice' I was given for my pregnancy was shocking and the information given to me,completly untrue. To reinforce the Dublin picket and ensure that this rogue agency ceases buisness I propose the same action on Saturday at their southwestern branch. This protest isnt about being pro choice or pro life its about ensuring that women throughout Ireland are allowed make an informed decscion themsleves without distressing and untruthful information.

If anyone in Limerick, kerry, cork or the surrounding areas is intrested in sparing two hours on Saturday for this important cause please email me at [email protected]

Fair play to the above poster. By all accounts the Limerick branch is just as bad as the Dublin one. I hope people get involved in this worthy cause.
