Hi, i would like to see this film but i dont know where is this place seomra spraoi, if somebody can, help me, thank you.
has been reported in the last hour as stating the Mexican federal government are considering an amnesty for the remaining political prisoners of the E.Z.L.N. war with the Mexican state in 1994.
As in he's done his little cotton sock best to persuade Calderon to do this when they had a meeting earlier today. It's about tea-time in Mexico & they're about to go into their non-banking days.
When pushed as to how many prisoners would benefit from this benifience - Alvarez couldn't come up with a figure but offered "one would be good". A bit like pontius pilate I suppose.
So far the so-called "legitimate" government opposition of L'obrador hasn't really comitted himself much to being as radically p-o-l-i-t-i-c-a-l & expressing opinion or support for either Chiapas or its neighbouring state of Oaxaca. Of course Chiapas didn't vote for him. Chiapas didn't vote. Of course you Zapiiiiis remember less than 50% of those enfranchised in the Chiapas for the so so so disputed presidential elections in 2006 (which the government won) bothered to do so.
The political prisoners of the EZLN have been victims of a 13 year old struggle for autonomy, one which transformed the advanced world's (North America & Europe) political perception. This was done in many ways not least by taking the tool of the internet & using it. But even the internet was less important or vital than their simple courage...a valient humility &.... a sense of humour which only a people who truly appreciate what humanity is about could carry through war. They were and are so remarkably different from any other militia or armed group in latin american.
Which is why we love them. isn't it?

So time to remember that many members of the Zapatista communities and EZLN are also in prison in Oaxaca, and imprisoned during the "other campaign". In this latest attempt to curry favour spin the regime - It seems the "fame" of the Zapatistas and their decision not to support l'0brador has made them a desirable photo-op. Really there's nothing new here except old warnings & caution. The federal government is one of the worst offenders on human rights in the region - attempting to paper the cracks by legitimising itself. Thank the lucky stars that all mexicans never lost the right to bear arms. Nor will they.
