Shell to Sea Picket - SHELL Garage, Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot


When: Friday 10th November, 5.30pm-6.30pm

Where: SHELL Garage, Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot

Protest will take place on Friday 10th November as part of Shell to Sea's Day of action to honour the memory of Ken Saro-Wiwa and other Ogoni activists murdered on this date 11 years ago by the Nigerian government at the behest of Shell.

Excellent target . Fine site big money maker . There is a rival garage a few blocks away.

Approximately 60 protestors turned up and successively closed down the Garage for an hour. Not a single vehicle passed to purchase petrol although a few tried but were immediately informed of the situation and then subsequently took their business elsewhere. Such activities in solidarity with the besieged community in Mayo and against Shell must continue. All actions must be escalated to oppose Shell.
