Juicy Crone Weekend

category donegal | miscellaneous | event notice author Friday October 13, 2006 00:54author by Pauline Howard - Wise Woman Irelandauthor email info at wisewomanireland dot com Report this post to the editors

Join Juicy Crone Judith Hoad, one of Ireland's wisest women, as she shares her knowledge Nov 10th-12th, 2006.

The wisdom of the Crone is emerging. The Crone is a model for empowerment, the recognition of wisdom and knowledge. The Crone teaches lessons of patience, using resources wisely, and compassionately. Lessons of value for women of all ages.

Judith is the author of "Healing with Herbs", "Need or Greed" and "Donegal Tweed" and a contributor to numerous magizines, including The Local Planet. She makes and sells herbal remedies through her company Living Earth Apothecary and is a much sought after speaker in a range of topics from safe water to vaccinations for children.

Now in her 70th year, Juidth still lives in her simple off the grid cottage in Co Donegal where she continues to inspire all those who come in contact with her.

All proceeds from the Juicy Crone Weekend will help her fund her work with woman in Bolivia.

The weekend will start Friday Nov 10th with an informal gathering. During the weekend, Judith will be guiding a nature walk and identifying plants that have culinary, domestic and medicinal uses and she will demonstrat how these plants can be used to make infusions, ointments and creams. The weekend will include a visit to Judith's cottages so you can experience firsthand her methods of leaving a softer footprint. Judith's daughter Miffy will be our guide for meditation.

This is an opportunity to be with like minded people and learn from a juicy crone.

Cost for the weekend is 150.00. Accomodation and food are separate. We plan to have commual meals and each person can choose their accomodation preferance. There is an independant hostel in Donegal Town.
