Friday August 25th, 7.30 pm:
Representations of 1916, by Dr Sighle Bhreathnach-Lynch, Curator of Irish Paintings, National Gallery of Ireland.
Chair: Robert Ballagh, one of Ireland's foremost artists and main organiser of the commemorative events on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Rising in 1991.
Saturday August 26th, 11.00 am:
Children of the Nations: Dorothy McArdle, Internationalism and Republicanism, by Professor Luke Gibbons, University of Notre Dame, USA; author of Transformations in Irish Culture and History and other books.

The 1916 Proclamation in Context, by Dr Ruan O'Donnell, University of Limerick; author of books on the 1798 and 1803 risings; currently researching Irish Republicanism in the 1950s-1960s period.

The effects of 1916 on empire, by Dr Angus Mitchell, authority on the human rights work of Roger Casement and co-editor of the book, Enemies of Empire: New Perspectives on Imperialism, Literature and History.

Sunday August 27th, 2.30 pm:
The Social and Political Ideology of 1916 by Brian Murphy OSB, author of Patrick Pearse and the Lost Republican Ideal, Origins and organisation of British propaganda in Ireland 1920 and other books,
and Manus O'Riordan, Head of Research, SIPTU, author of numerous articles on labour history and 1916.
Chair: Eoin Ó Murchú, Political Editor, Radio na Gaeltachta, and political columnist Village Magazine.
