The green turtle is already a species in decline in the Mediterranean and is being hard hit by Tourist pollution of that sea and now its main Summer habitat has been polluted by the Israeli war machine.

Green turtles are most useful to humanity in that they are the number one predator of jellyfish, a ecosystem relationship which began millions of years ago before even dinosaurs swam the seas or walked the earth & has continued to balance marine life till now is being undermined by the US / Israeli war machine. Readers in the West generally think this is terrible and we must quickly do something to stop this and the host of other wrongs our late civilisation has done. Readers elsewhere just really wish God would get rid of us alltogether and let them get on with it.

which provides more information and links to the Lebanese ecological group who are monitoring the slick.

It is unclear whether or not the amount of oil lost is 10,000 tonnes as I wrote then or 35,000 as is suggested above. I tend to believe it was 10,000.
