A new documentary of an historic struggle

Thursday 27th July 8:30pm Wynss Hotel, Dublin

The GAMA Strike - documentary 1hr 15mins & brief presentations by a GAMA striker and Joe Higgins TD
Gama Premiere for July 27th poster
Gama Premiere for July 27th poster

This documentary captures the historic struggle waged by the GAMA workers for justice. It shines a light on the gross exploitation that is the dark side of Ireland's economic growth. It demonstrates that rather than migrant workers being used to undermine pay and conditions, with organisation, action and solidarity, decent pay and conditions can be won for all workers.

It's a great idea to release a dvd and a pamphlet together like this. Too often we let the memory of past campaigns fade away. Hope the showing goes well.

The Pamphlet is a great read. Well worth getting. You get all the 'behind the scenes' information that the media did not put forward.

Copies of the DVD will be on sale at the showing in Wynn's hotel and from the Socialist Party afterwards. I don't know if there are copies for sale yet.

Dvd video worth while watching
it should be shown in schools communityg group trade unions
it shows the extent of wonder woman Harney, Cowan will go to side with the bosses
it is also a poweful political message which exposes exploitation and those who would tell us that exploitation doesn't happen
