Sound has been used as a weapon by cops at demos in the US and Israel - it's about time we used it against them.

Use all frequencies at your disposal.
That means as well as the usual banging pots and pans which quickly builds rhythm and energetic enthusiasm (sometimes it's difficult to wind down) -
use dog whistles as well. You'll be amazed at the response even in an urban environment - hmmmmm - it works better in an urban environment.
;-)
You can also make quite good trumpets and tubas from long plastic piping - anyone who knows how to play a trumpet will show you how to cause the air to vibrate in a long pipe - the result is a very low note with harmonics. If your pal swings the end of the plastic piping in the air you get a visual effect (be careful no-one is standing near by) and other sounds too - you'll be surprised.

When I saw Jeb Bush, I had been waiting in the pissing rain for over an hour, accompanying a cross section of Barcelona usual suspect protesters, we didn't number more than 50 people. It was less than week after Feb 15 and "millions of people".
I only caught a glimpse of an armoured limousine & felt sort of disappointed. I remember we were chanting "re-sis-ten-ci-a!" (which puts the wind up them verily). Later on I discovered that the noise only 50 people made had indeed travelled right inside the building, along with the whining of doggies and inordinate amount of pigeons going mad.

Good to see foks come upwith varied repsonses to the arrival of Jeb.

I've been floating the idea of replaying the White House Demo with Daddy Bush during Gulf War 1 ('91) "Beat Around the Bush". I didn't make that one either being locked up in Catskill County Jail,NY -I believe the surrounding area (as depicted in the '80's hit pic "Dirty Dancing is quite beautiful, but I didn't see much of it!)

Have been pretty busy with trial and can't guarantee personal availability (verdict day should be next Wednesday!) but I've managed to collect 3 contact mobile numbers of Dublin's drumming community. So if AY wants 'em - get in contact.

Origiinally I thought it might be good to do the night before he arrives to protest the Hotel's involvement and make it accessible for folks with day jobs and build for the presence when he is there the next day.

Also a banshee/women in black action on Jeb's obssession with execution in his personal fiefdom of Fllorida is an idea....announce it soon and smoke out Amnesty International to mae a stance on this visit.

If someone from the IAWM and AWI could contact AY and let us know what their plans are so we can make sure we don't annoy each other that would be good.

Thanks for the message comrades. Good idea to co-ordinate things.
However the number posted in your message is not operational. Can you give us another number or would you like to meet later this afternoon to discuss matters. The Dublin Action Group of the IAWM meets every Tuesday at 7.00 pm in Doyles - opposite TCD.
Very welcome to come over and have a chat with us.

We'll see if we can send someone along to that meeting. AY phone appears to have a low battery. Our plan is to make a lot of noise to disrupt the meeting if you're planning on having and speakers etc. we can arrange on the day to stop for a while etc.

This is off topic, but the notion of a bunch of anarchists planning something makes me laugh. How does this happen? Isn't it totally non-anarchistic to plan something together with others?

No, you’ll be pleased to know that anarchism has always emphasised collective action. This stems from its views of humans as intensely social animals who maximise their abilities when acting with others. Anarchism has, however, also emphasised that collective action should be organised in a highly democratic manner, with the opportunity for meaningful participation for all affected people. That means, for example, that decisions should be made by all those affected rather than a leadership, even an elected one, doing so over their heads.
