There'll be another protest next month on the 8TH of April cos the 1ST is Easter Monday and we'll be back and we'll be stronger than ever! So come join us at 6PM on the 8TH April outside City Hall on Dame Street. Last night's Bin Tax Protest outside City Hall in Dublin was reasonably well attended. Approximately 100 in my opinion were there when I arrived. I was a bit late arriving myself not getting there till 6:30. I would guess that it was about 50:50 between Sinn Fein and other groups. Among the other groups present were the Worker's Party who also had a very big presence and Cabra Residents Against The Bin Tax. I was told that were also some SWP people present although I didn't personally see any of the familar SWP faces there myself. Some of the familar heads who always turn up hail, rain or snow were'nt there last night. I didn't see anybody from the Socialist Party/Socialist Youth or Gregor Kerr or anybody else from the WSM there all of whom always come to every Demo outside City Hall hail, rain or snow. I reckon that the Abortion Referendum tomorrow probably had something to do with it. Apparently there were a number of speeches but they had finished by the time that I had arrived. Anyhow there'll be another protest next month on the 8TH of April cos the 1ST is Easter Monday and we'll be back and we'll be stronger than ever! So come join us at 6PM on the 8TH April outside City Hall on Dame Street. One scary incident happened after some of us went over to the hotel across the road for a drink. Four Special Branch Detectives who were spying on the Demo followed us into the hotel and kept staring at us while we were there. Their presence was very intimidating. Ps.
