Sometimes politicians have to lose to win so the other side can show its true colours. Trump is the standout example, says Prof James Allan. Had he won in 2020, we would not have had the blitz of the last four weeks.

Leonard Peltier is a political prisoner! the American Indian Movement in the 1970's was a target of the FBI's dirty war and the FBI did their best to jail or kill the leaders of AIM. i hope everyone who can attend these meetings will go and learn some interesting history as well as helping in the campaign to release Peltier.

it would be very interesting to ask the AIM people what they think of Sinn Fein's adopting the SDLP's policies and the surrender of the PIRA who both were very active in spreading the word of Peltier's jailing and campaign for freedom. since the GFA, sinn fein will not recognize republican political prisoners but do they still consider Peltier to be a political prisoner? i wonder if AIM considers the SInn Fein party to be the Irish version of the "hang around the fort indians" now that Sinn Fein has joined the government that enforces partition as well as being the "republican party" receiving money form the elite of America as well as the British government??
