Jump To Comment: 7 6 5 4 3 2 1Is this the same Sinn Fein in Strabane that physically turfed out a young girl who was fundraising for Republican prisoners from Kitty Daly's bar? A bar which mysteriously was burnt down a week later.
He didn't die in Vain? I'm sure that Frank didn't die for a 6 county Government ruled by Paisley and this is what the Gerry Adams' Sinn Fein are now willing to settle for in order to have a small part in the the running of this Statelet.
The Fact is Frank and the other Hunger Strikers are now only Icons of a party rapidly losing all vestige of it's former Republican self as more and more it's leadership bends it's knee to the demands of Paisley.
Sinn Fein's acceptance of the PSNI is Paisley's latest demand and Sinn Fein's acceptance he will get. It's not a bit wonder that more and more of the old guard of Republicanism are abandoning Sinn Fein. Bobby Sands' family even refuse to have anything to do with them.
The Republicanism of Frank's day is gone forever and those who would claim to be continuing along that road are Fraudsters who are stuck in the the cul-de-sac of Stormont and not even able to get in there.
i wish to say thank you to the irish people and those in particular of the sinn fein youth groups,as a living relative of frank stagg. Its heartwarming and means alot to myself and my family he never died in vain and will also go down in irish history as a republican fighter and a man dedicated to his country and his people.many thanks again from all the stagg family.kieran stagg (england ).i also wish to give the irish people all the best and all the luck for the future.
Here is a photo of the unveiling.

I was at the commemmoration for Frank Stagg last sunday in County Mayo and it was brilliant. Good commemoration and good speakers at it too.
Le mise,

Maith thú go Ógra Sinn Féin. Delighted to hear of the mural. Frank was an extremely brave and corageous man who gave up his life rather then submit to the british thugs and the free state quislings who subsequently refused him burial in the Republican Plot. What more could you expect from the brit licking blue shirts.
Post some pictures if you can.
Go raibh maith agaibh, obair brea ambaiste,
