Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement feels like an epoch defining event. Yes he did it before, says Ben Pile, but this time is different. The world now is waking up to the folly of Net Zero.

Following last week's successful picket in Belfast city centre, organised by Oranise!, several protestors held a picket outside of Dunnes Stores in the Park Centre on the Donegall Road today, in support of Joanne Delaney and the campaign against Dunnes's union-busting antics.

The picketers gathered at 1.00pm outside the entrance to the Park Centre shopping centre and began to distribute leaflets to a very supportive stream of shoppers. Three of picketers went inside the centre and stood outside Dunnes Stores. Within a few minutes they were asked to leave by a man in a nice suit, and on joining their comrades on the outside were told by security that they were on private property and had to move off the site.

All being good citizens, they quickly moved outside with absolutely no hassle whatsoever. They continued to hand out leaflets at the entrance to the Park Centre to the people in cars and on foot who were going in and coming out for a further 40 minutes or so, until all of the leaflets were gone. Again, the response was very good. Most people obviously understand the petty nature of Dunnes's action and support Joanne's campaign for recognition and reinstatement.

Undoubtedly there will be more actions to come...

Preacher- now there is a new one! Educator maybe!

Good photos - though!

There though was a bit of ‘hassle’ outside, which included attempting to stop us giving out our leaflets, which we didn't stop, - then threatening to call the police, numerous time - {and when we said go ahead numerous times} - they then told us that they would not 'because that was want we wanted!'

Then of course the Centre manager was called and by that stage we had a good crowd around us wanting to know what was going on, and so our leaflets where going out hand over fist {which further Irked him}.

It was only after Jason and I and our discussion {and chat} with an ATGWU shop steward - after giving him a bundle of leaflets etc - did we then move outside.

Outside again saw a great response from shoppers. D
