Spielberg's "Munich," MacDonald's "One Day in September" &![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fadhil's "Fallujah: The Real Story" Hopefully, better late than never with this one but with the release of Spielberg's controversial "Munich," Neal Ascherson has painted a fair historical backdrop to the events loosely depicted in this film in an article entitled; "A master and the myths of Munich" in The Observer (Sun. Jan 15th, '06) - the documentary that he lauds in his article; MacDonalds "One Day in September" is available for purchase on Amazon.com and Amazon.UK (Region 1 only) On a different but relevant tack, the Democracy Now website sports the transcript of a live interview with Ali Fadhil, the maker of "Fallujah : The Real Story", this documentary, produced last year by Guardian Films for Channel Four News deals with the wanton destruction of that city by US and Iraqi forces http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/01/25/155226 |
