offsite link There Has Been a Failure Here Wed Jan 22, 2025 13:01 | Dr David McGrogan
What we have seen in Starmer since July is a petty, inhumane, almost spiteful man who considers himself morally superior to the mass of humanity. This, says Dr David McGrogan, was confirmed in spades yesterday.

"You?ll never be wasting our time," reads the Prevent poster. So why did the anti-extremism programme fail to stop the Southport killer, who had been referred to it three times? He's not the only one, says Charlotte Gill.

Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement feels like an epoch defining event. Yes he did it before, says Ben Pile, but this time is different. The world now is waking up to the folly of Net Zero.

This is a hypocritical disgrace.. The herald love to run stories like this so get the pictures in there and make a mockery of the corrupted DCC..

Crap photos. One DCC-endorsed poster (under "2002") ... and that's it?

No evidence of who put the poster up?

Did you report it to the DCC...? I'm guessing no.

They're taken by 'Jim', no idea who this is.

Don't know who posted these pics but some of the photos were taken along dame street.

These DCC posters are on nearly every pay and display parking contraption around the city centre, many of them are poorly pasted up.

DCC should have hired some anarchists to paste them up, some posters from over 2years ago are still hanging around town.

Sorry Jim about getting your name wrong -excellent pics all the same. I was thinking it would be good if you could get the location of the sites where DCC were postering onto Indymedia for use by the defence in any future cases brought against activists under the littering law.
I know a couple of people who are facing charges - this might help them. One of these activists is a member of a political party whose central committee has issued a strict edict against using indymedia in any way ,so i doubt if the photos would be of much use to him. As far as I know the other person involved has not to date received the kiss of death from this political party though .
I notice the posters in the pics are prominently advertising a protest on Jan 9 . This demo is featured in the event section -posted there by a fellow by the name of Rory . It should be supported by everybody .

i note a piece of information in this comments which is directly in the interest of indymedia to know-

Which political party's central committee has issued a strict edict against using indymedia in any way?

I can't wait to find out. is it the PDs? or FF? or perhaps the petulant ógras of FG? Maybe its the shinners and just a whole load of hopeful impersonators have been taking the piss the last year? It could be the swp as well you know, they're said to be very into the edicts! Which political party takes us seriously enough to issue an edict? END THE EDICT! we shall not be edicted. we'll go international solidarity on this one.
Edicts one day, evictions and black lists the next!
Will this party ever gain power (if not the actual and present regime)? Are we subject to surveillance to enforce the edict? has anyone been stripped of their constituency selection because of breaking the edict?

If you read the post it strongly insinuates which party is might be, but perhaps you could just ask rory what he thinks?

author by People's Front of Judeapublication date Mon Dec 26, 2005 19:46author address author phone Report this post to the editors

I can't think of a political party which has anything called a "central commitee", but whoever they are, their members obviously need our help.

I propose to broaden this campaign into a genuine campaign for free speech by adding the ending on the ban on members of this party using indymedia.ie to the demands.

Our first step should be identyfing this political party. If necessary this should be brought up at the meeting in January.

a dirty bunch of hypocrites aren't they jim? A strict policy against posting ,but ,when they want to publicize one of their own events, they do not hesitate to post.
