Jack O'Connor (SIPTU) and Mick O'Reilly (ATGWU) debate social partnership at the Dublin Council of Trade Unions.
Tonight is a busy night it seems, and it's a pity this event was confirmed so late. Perhaps it should be rerun again as a public meeting, with an appropriately large audience. But delegates to the Dublin Council of Trade Unions (and others) will be interested in this debate between arguably the most important supporter and opponent of social partnership in the trade unions .
Jack O'Connor (President, SIPTU) and Mick O'Reilly (Regional Secretary, ATGWU) will debate:
"Can National Partnership Agreements meet the demands and aspirations of the Trade Union Movement?"
8.00 Tuesday 8th November
Liberty Hall, Dublin.

An article on this debate on this newswire would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
It's unclear as to whether this is just open for Trades Council delegates or the general public. Somehow I guess its the former. Can't see this being open to all and sundry. Anyone know?
This meeting is open to all.
has come a long way from his days in the Militant Tendancy
Why are people getting so excited about two right wing union bureaucrats from the Labour Party having a debate!
