What we have seen in Starmer since July is a petty, inhumane, almost spiteful man who considers himself morally superior to the mass of humanity. This, says Dr David McGrogan, was confirmed in spades yesterday.

Front Page of An Phoblacht 30 September 2004

"Sinn Féin in Omagh has accused the PSNI of heavy handed tactics after a number of protestors were beaten with batons and two teenagers arrested as they held a peaceful protest against a British Army public relations exercise at the Silver Birches Hotel in the town on Wednesday 22 September."

The two teenagers arrested were Ógra Shinn Féin activits Danny Turnbull from Omagh and John McDermot from Strabane. Danny was snatched from the crowd by a number of RUC/PSNI activists who immediately bundled him in to the back of a car. On the way to Omagh RUC/PSNI barracks he was subject to a sectarian verbal attack and amongst other things was called a 'Fenian b******.'

John McDermott was pulled to the ground were he was subject to an assault by a number of RUC/PSNI members (check AnPhoblact online to see http://www.anphoblacht.com/2004-09-30) he too then was bundled into the back of a car where he was brought to the RUC/PSNI barracks in the town.

Both men were released after 2 hours following Ógra Shinn Féin gathering a protest demanding their release. Over 100 Republican activists blocked the main entrance to Omagh RUC/PSNI barracks until both men were released.

Now 13 months on the nightmare returns for both Danny and John - they have now been charged by the RUC/PSNI for blocking public property and for assaulting RUC/PSNI members. What an injustice!

Danny Turnbull and John McDermott will both be up for a hearing at Omagh Court House this Friday 28 October.

In order to concide with them being up in Court, Ógra Shinn Féin are holding a protest in solidarity with the boys but also against this ongoing injustice and harassment from RUC/PSNI bigots.

The protest will begin at Omagh Court House Friday 28 October at 10.30am sharp.

The Ruc have been abolished. They were replaced by the PSNI, who according to every loyalist in Belfast are Fenian bastards. Thet even have a Gaelic football team, not before time I might add, having campaigned for 30 years to get that stupid rule thrown out.

Norn Ireland is now like anywhere else. We have a police force we can all hate.

The SDLP have some nerve expecting nationalists to endorse these sectarian thugs. The same thugs that let every road in belfast be slosed down by a few loyalist women with their children.

Arresting Irish people for protesting against the British Army . Theyre just an auxiliary force for the British Army . They are still the crown forces in Ireland . Sad fact is the little shinners will be told to accept and join them soon . Best of luck to the 2 lads anyway .

No British colonial police force is, was or can be acceptable. Their primary objective will always be the maintenance of the statelet they are "policiing".

No matter how far "Patten reforms" or any other mantra go, they will always be the enemies of Ireland - and should be treated as such.

RUC OUT. PROVOS OUT.

BRITS OUT. ÉIRE NUA IN.
