Left-wing activists in Britain are less likely to work with their political opponents and more likely to think that those who think differently have been misled, a study has found. Leftists are intolerant? Who knew.

This is really bizarre, seriously have ye all broke away form the swp or something?

The faces on the front are a bit odd, hope ye dont put that up on posters people will think you are advertising for a crazy cult or something?

And what exactly do you mean by new movement? three or four people cant start a movement. typical swp stuff the masters of the revolution.

No doubt McCann and his cohorts will call for an end to Anglo-American imperialism in Iraq, but ignore it's grip on Ireland, North and South.
McCann, in his last election campaign, called for British troops to leave Iraq, but never even mentioned their presence in Ireland.
McCann makes a comfortable living writing for the capitalist press, often attacking Ireland's anti-imperialism movement.
These posturers should not be given a shred of credibility.

it is starting to look like one right enough . If theyve left the SWP they should tell people . If not its gone beyond farcical .

This is genuine, but why is anyone so fucking surprised. We all know the SWP and there is a simple answer. Yes the anti Imperialist struggle should begin here. It is ignored though in Ireland as it would make life for the revolutionary SWP to uncomfortable by scaring of its middle class membership. That would mean most of them

It's strange that what was billed as a major meeting to launch the Davitt League as a national organisation hasn't been the subject of any reports, positive, negative or neutral. For that matter the idea of launching the League hasn't drawn any serious comment.

Who was there? What was argued? What was agreed? What does it mean?

author by Surprisedpublication date Sat Oct 01, 2005 00:04author address author phone Report this post to the editors

yeah it is strange that nobody has anything to say about this meeting? Where are the cynics saying it was a load of old shite? Where are the SWP to say it was the greatest thing since Genoa?
