Rossport Solidarity Street Theatre

category mayo | anti-capitalism | news report author Wednesday September 21, 2005 16:31author by Pammypoo Report this post to the editors

These pictures are from the street theatre that was preformed by people from the camp during the Rossport Solidarity Week.

The play outlined the struggle that's occured up to now.

On Thursday the 25th August the group preformed on three occassions in prominant locations in Castlebar.

All received great response and support :-)

Shell can stick to the old tricks of using shifty politicians, dodgy deals, and high priced legal eagles, but they'll never match ye for creative dissent!

I wonder what your street theatre cost as a percentage of Shells P.R. budget.... and they still can't get the blood of the Ogoni off their hands!

The workers is great men and women for the oul street theatre. If it was a choice now between a bottle of stout and a nice piece of agitprop, sure a fella would give the bottle of stout the knock and head off to see some proletarian thespians. Great stuff.
