Rossport Five : Two Lions of Literature contemn the "unspeakable" and iniquitous jailing of the 5.

Wilde in Heart !

Today, Shell to Sea activists led by Galway City Councillor, Neill O' Brolchain, took to the streets to publicise the Saturday, August 13th, 'Justice for the Rossport Five,' National Demo in Galway City ...
Oscar & Eduard opine on the plight of the Five !.

and to dispense info leaflets on their plight and the situation in Erris.

Before this serious business, however, activists raised their spirits with some good-humoured poetic licence and devilment centred on the statues of the two Wildes in William Street.

Again, we were taken aback - but should'nt have been, we're cynically street hardened, let's say - at the number of pedestrians who queued to sign our petition and who stayed to chat.

Tomorrow, outside Lynch's Castle/Brown Thomas's, activists intend doing a day long, two shift stint on the street, so, if you're around please join us at 12 noon.
