Last year UN chief Antonio Guterres visited Samoa and filmed a deserted house that he claimed was abandoned due to climate change. In fact it was the tsunami. This is not the first time Guterres has misinformed the public.

1. Print out the design, enlarge it on a photocopier if you want.
2. Tape it to a suitable piece of card, best not too thin.
3. Make sure you do the next bit on a hard surface that you don't mind wrecking.
4. Cut the black shapes out with a sharp knife. McDowell 's mug is quite fiddly - take care!
5. Use a ruler for the straight bits.
6. Any mistakes fix with superglue or masking tape.
7. Tape the stencil over desired surface (your own personal property is always recommended!).
8. You can hold it firm with your spare hand if in a hurry.
9. Spray lightly from about 6 inches, spraying too heavily on the stencil will ruin it, so go careful.
10. Stand back, admire the work, and go do another one.
