There are several reasons for this.
here are some:-
a) today is LdaV day and they've read good books.
b) they've noticed that Silvio B. is in "grave spiritual error" under the vatican laws I thoughtfully published today for your ongoing erudition and preparation for future events in the "very special arrangements" article in other press.
c) he's just about gone now = "done and dusted".

this rubs a bit more salt in the comment above.
http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=4407046
other mediterranean state media organisations have declared the government to be "tumbling".
"no government and no pope".
what are we waiting for?
TO THE BARRICADES!
we are all pope now.
we are all black in our guilt and sin
and transgression, and mistakes,
and have learnt that telling another man or woman
that your are their master and that they done wrong
is... the worst evil a monkey may do.
Let's face it. a lot of the masses are actually going to learn a lot from this book. They might take an interest in history and politics, question their own complacency...

.:. (if you were going for the reward) but the papal indulgence probably still stands give joe benedict xvi a call & ask him +
"we loved you like a brother, but tonight you sleep with the fisheeeees".
