and take part in the SPQR march of pentitents for this year's Good Friday celebrations as promised.
But Joseph Ratzinger took over (quel surprise?) and brought the faithful through the motions.

Today's news is an unknown man has climbed onto the basilica of St Peter's in Rome, (named after a man who wasn't present for the crucifixtion) the man is thought to be 46 years old, (how they know that?) and was seen by SkyTg24 (a heavenly franchise who get bored often) clambering onto the roof.

The Swiss have not commented at this breach of Holy See security.

The Indo have-

they got it from Reuters in Italy-
he's told functionaries that unless the Vatican start a lottery for orphans he'll jump, which will probably put him on a life support machine at the very least.

Sweet Holy God, and his blessèd mother
and all the saints, according to Peruvian Wireless the man has now come down off the roof of St Peters.

and he's aged.
The Peruvians say he's 59 years of age now, and comes from the central Italian province of Aquila.
He was recognised by his mammy who saw him on the Sky24tg because she doesn't get out much, and in any case she doesn't have enough money to justify going further than the local bakery at the crack of dawn every morning.

& he's a right nutter!!!!

he was in a psychiatric institute from 1983 to 1986.

has today adressed not only those of his Roman Communion, but of those who walk with him in the other apostolic faiths (such as Orthodox of Greece and Kiev and the Russias, Anglicans of europe and africa, Maronite and Coptic) and those of the Jewish Talmudic faith (such as ashkenazy, sephardic and hasidic traditions) and those of the Islamic faith (such as shi'ite and sunni)

'I want to express special recognition of the closeness of believers of other religions, particularly Jews and Muslims. Some of them wanted to come and pray here at the hospital. And that for me is a comforting sign, for which I thank God,' he is reported as saying.

Joaquin Navarro-Valls the vatican spokesperson has confirmed that Leonardo Sandri of the Vatican Secretariat of State is for the moment the spokesperson for the Roman Pontiff, and as such, he read the message this morning.

It is very important for those with an interest in ethics, and the struggle against evil, which is caused by the solely materialist philosophies of either centralised and totalitarian state communism or unchecked imperialist free market capitalism wed to speculative science, to "nota bene" that the vast majority of the poorest and indeed of the most wealthy of this planet belong to the faithful followers of the traditions of the Books which teach belief in one true, omnipotent God creator of this planet and the species "homo sapiens".

It is time for recognition of such to be added to the Constitution of the European Union as it seeks to expand its wealth, prosperity and security to the peoples of the Levant, North Africa and beyond.

Yes I would.IMHO all Religions deserve to be mocked. The Religious practices of Muslims are just as silly as those of Catholics.

I mock their "prophet" who was either suffering a schizophrenic vision, was out of his mind on drugs/booze or was a charlatan when he claimed Allah spoke to him.

The same goes for Moses, St Paul, Joe Smith or anyother crackpot who "god" spoke to.

All Religions want to control peoples lives to a greater or lesser extent.

Its time to fight back!

No Gods!
No Masters!
