Richard Gott, author and the first journalist to view Che Guevara's body to speak in Dublin
Lasc is holding a public meeting-
"Venezuela, the Bolivarian Revolution"
at 8 p.m.
on Friday 4th February
in the ATG&WU Hall

transformation of Venezuela"

Venezuelan trade unionist,representative of U.N.T.
the National Union of Workers of Venezuela
Michael McCaughan, Irish Journalist
Author of "the Battle for Venezuela"
Finian McGrath, T.D.
Richard Gott is the much-heralded author of In the Shadow of the Liberator: Hugo Chavez and the Transformation of Venezuela and, more recently, of a book called Cuba: A New History. He has worked for The Guardian newspaper as a freelance journalist for many decades and it was precisely working for The Guardian that took him to Bolivia in 1967 and the events surrounding the capture and murder of Che Guevara that he recounts here: http://www.radiohc.cu/ingles/especiales/che.htm
Gott was the first journalist to view the body of Che.
