Tsunami Vigil

There will be a  Vigil in Aid of The Tsunami on Fri 14th Jan. Dublin

Tsunami Vigil

There will be a  Vigil in Aid of The Tsunami on Fri 14th Jan.  It will be a spiritual gathering for people to come together and send their thoughts and love to all those effected by the disaster.  There will be led meditation and people remembering those that have been lost. Others are welcome to say poems, words or a wish if they like.  The idea is to get a large group of people together to be totally focused on the situation allowing people to express how they feel not necessarily through words but through thought. The whole world has been effected by this and hence there have been amazing fund raisers going on every day but there are emotions involved as well. So the vigil is a way to show how one feels and hopefully raise some money too.

All the combined positive energy and prayers will be received by the people who need it. The organisers realise that many people have already donated to the cause and some aren't in a position to continue to donate money so they don't want anyone to feel under pressure to donate again. After saying that, money is desperately needed so all donations will go to
Red Cross.

This is not a religious gathering.  All are welcome.
Friday 14th Jan   8.30 - 10 pm at Cultivate, SS Michael and Johns, 15 - 10 Essex Street West, Old City Temple Bar, Dublin 8

We have set up a website to help people self-organize Candlelight vigils.

The two week anniversary since the disaster, on Sunday and Monday, the 9th and 10th, was marked by vigils world wide spelling 'H-O-P-E' with candles.

In San Francisco, 300 homemade lanterns were placed on the beach at sunset, as the sun set on North America and rose in East and South Asia, H-O-P-E was sent their way:

We're asking if you may spell out H-O-P-E during Friday's vigils, hopefully forward us a link to the photo or few of them online.

And do so again on January 26th, 2K5, the one month anniversary since the Tsunami disaster.

Thanks.
