In the city he is surrounded by madness and chaos. Policemen, madmen, middlemen, traders in drugs and flesh, impossible movie fantasies, and everywhere there are children like him, surviving and succumbing to the appetite of the city. The ‘actors’ are all street children and the entire film is shot in poor neighborhoods and the red light district of Mumbai (Bombay). The spirit of Mumbai’s street children is celebrated while describing the denial of childhood in a world, which is no longer innocent. |
