event notice

Those jolly jokers of UCC Law Society have come up with a cunning wheeze to gain publicity (publicity is a must when you go looking for cash from sponsors). "Let's invite one of those racist chappies!" "Oh, rather! We'll get to go in all the papers, quoting Voltaire like nobody's business, and playing the heroic martyrs when those AFA oiks turn up and get the event cancelled!" "Hurrah! Pimms all round!" MOTION: That This House Believes The Government Should Place Stricter Controls on Immigration VENUE: Boole 2, UCC DATE/TIME: Wednesday 1st December, 7.30p.m. LawSoc join with An Chuallacht this week in celebrating the 'Spraoi Cois Laoi' festivities by staging a once-off, bi-lingual meeting. Áine Ní Chonaill, outspoken leader of the far-right Immigration Control Platform, will propose a motion "That This House Believes The Government Should Place Stricter Controls on Immigration". In opposition is Cllr. Toireasa Ferris (Sinn Féin, daughter of Martin Ferris TD). Ironically, Sinn Féin were among the most vocal opponents of Ní Chonaill's presence at a Philosoph meeting last year. The speakers will present their cases in Irish. However, PMT and contributions from the floor (including points of information) may be made in either Irish or English. A professional interpreter will be present on the night to provide Gaeilge/Béarla and English/Irish translations, which will be available to members of the audience through headphones. Given the logistical exigencies of such a project, we move to the surrounds of Boole 2 for the night. |

Why should we let them in to get on our welfare system?
Why should we open the flood gates to illeagal alliens?
Why should we let Islam or any other imigrants come in to this nation and demand that we recognize theire customs?
This is America, we have something that is good. We speak English. We were founded on Christian principals. If the Crybaby imigrants don't like it, mabe they should go back where they came from.
You should know the old saying: to many ticks on a dog, the dog dies.
This country is trillions of dollars in debt and should not be outsoarcing our jobs.
Somewhere this has got to stop,or we are
facing catostroffic conciquinces.
