30 cops plus 30 private security, lock down the Berkley Court hotel, so rather than going there we visit the Westbury, just off Grafton street. We barge into the hotel with loud megaphone, and (in some cases) louder costumes, ejected, then leafletting prospective Jurys customers outside.
The Parnell Street Jurys had no security, and we flit in in ones and twos. There I stand hanging about the foyer, while my cohorts start to leaflet and encounter bouncers, the later oblvious to who is taking over the hotel and who isn't. Skip up in the lifts, along with more grassroots activists, and the higher floors of the hotel are leafletted.
As the downstairs crew get ejected the megaphone and Garda come out. But as you can see above, they still don't know who is who, and I pass myself off as a bemused onstander before making my exit.

well thats just a picture terry took that day and obviously liked, it nothing to do with jurys... although i wouldn't be opposed to a bit of graffitti, as it would be one of the few means to disperce free info or opinion

Jim there isn't a point - it's purely decorative - I clicked upload 5 files but found I only had 4 photos pertaining to Jurys I wished to show, alternativly u could have had pictures of the corpse of a seal in an advanced state of decomposition, derelict houses in Conemara, or Shannon peace camp. I think that photo is nicer than the other ones.

Are the wsm members/or anarchists in control or charge of the dublin grassroots network from the link to posters from above is it not the wsm site. im not that up on left organisations,but if the majority of the dgn are wsm why call it the DGN?

The funny thing about trots (even of the anon sort) is that they can only imagine that the way they behave is the only way to behave. This is a very funny example

Anon obviously believes that http://ant.devnul.ws is a WSM site for some reason. Perhaps because he think ws stands for Workers Solidarity? In fact it stands for Western Somoa (and is marketed as Web.Site). The all powerful arm of the WSM is not yet long enough to get us a top level domain like the US military (.mil).

Because the majority of the DGN aren't WSM members. I'd say we are in a minority in almost every activity that the DGN is involved in, thanfully. I doubt if most members are even anarchist, though we haven't done a questionaire sussing it out yet.

In that case I deserve to go around dole queues shouting at the people becuase a small number of doll recipients are spongers. You guys are idiots. In no country have your policiies o limiting peoples freedom been successful. Try living in the real world, not perfect but at least some people get a good nights sleep.

why persume im a trot? anyway James and Andrew anytime i witness grassroots activity it is an anarchist that is handing out leaflets or rambling, i dont think wsm members are in the minority at DGN ,for example mayday ,shannon ,ambush you were out in force. why hide now?

Basically what seem to be saying in your response to Andrew's and James' answers is "I don't think I believe you". What they say is true and has been for the lifetime of the DGN. The WSM is a small organisation and to the best of my knowledge, has had less than 20 members at any time over most of its 20 years in existence. If you came to any public or decision-making DGN meetings over the past year, you would have seen that WSM members are certainly in the minority and that those members of the WSM who do participate in DGN activities can in no way be construed as being in charge. In my experience they're a hard working bunch who do put in a lot of effort into some of the more mundane tasks such as postering, making sure meeting rooms are booked and distributing leaflets.


Regarding you not being a trot, you claim that "im not that up on left organisations" and later on confidently assert that "it is an anarchist that is handing out leaflet or rambling". Ignoring the snide remarks, the only way you could know whether someone is an anarchist or WSM member without being heavily involved in the leftie political scene is by talking to and asking each DGN individual what their political philosophy is.
