About Le Chéile:

The Le Chéile Artists in Ireland Against Racism project was launched in August 2000 at a special 'Riverdance for Le Chéile' event. Initially inspired by Moya Doherty and Robert Ballagh, who contacted Comhlámh with a view to addressing the issue of racism in Ireland - the project draws on the commitment of artists, musicians and all those involved in the arts and entertainment in Ireland to creatively challenge racism in Irish society.

Over the last four years, Le Chéile have provided invaluable training, education, and information: raising awareness of racism in schools, community groups and amongst the general public. The project also advocate on public policy and anti-racism and consistently work to promote positive interculturalism in all aspects of Irish society.
