A mandala was made on the main shop st. in Galway for Earth Day (yesterday).
All went well with many people joining in, adding their bit to the mandala. A community warden approach and told those responsible that spontaneity was no good and that in future we should get council permission do so first (well not in those actual words). Besides this she was actually quite supportive of the exercise, alhough this does raise issues of community use of city space. Should it not be possible to do harmless spontaneious acts without seeking council permission?

well this was mostly a feel good fluffy picture story and it is not much good without the pictures which do not seem to be working. maybe some indytech heads can fix this????
