As U S war machines continued to refuel their genocidal machines of chaos and destruction on our soil demonstrators made their way from the town center to a barricaded junction where they were met with more of the same oppression as before. A small group of demonstrators stayed at the roundabout outside of the town. While the rest made their via an alternative root. However on the way down they were met by the proverbial schoolyard bullies the demo was small but representative. It included all the anti-war coalition regulars and socialists (plus guest appearances from the lads and ladies in black)

I think that if you read what it actually says yew will see that the reference to “genocidal machines of chaos and destruction” re-fairs to the machines used in the war not the actual war itself, so there for, the statement is technically correct. Don’t keep looking for something negative all the time. Why don’t yew grow up! Get off your fat asses and do something productive

Lethal is about the only correct term here.

Murderous would also be wrong, as there is no intention to take the life of an innocent person.

These warheads cost over $1 million dollars a throw, although they could be produced much more cheaply. Do you know why?

Because they're packed with electronics in order to save as many innocent lives as possible.

That's why genocidal is totally wrong here. get a good dictionary, you'll see what I mean.

Genocide is defined legally by the 1948 Convention on Genocide which specifies that genocide means some or all of the acts "committed with the intent to destroy in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group" listed below (see Article 2):

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Now, given that the USA's assault on the Iraqi people is intended to destroy members of the group of people called Iraqis, and there have been statement from senior US generals that this is a religious war and that therefore (as they see it) this is an attack on Islam, I think we can fairly say that Shannon Warport is being used for genocide.

The word was acutally coined by Raphael Lemkin in his book "Axis Rule in Occupied Europe" [ 1st ed. 1944] in an attempt to provide a definition of a crime greater (in his opinion) than those enshrined in the 1907 Hague Convention as war crimes.
