Jump To Comment: 1The WE SEIZE event is one of the more interesting 'alternative' events happenings around the WSIS/. The latter promises to be a great flop, noteworthy for the methods of construction of a 'brave face' that must be put on. But there is another event called the World Forum on Communication Rights, held on Decemner 11th in Geneva alongside the WSIS, which promises to partly fill the hole dug by the WSIS for itself. it will cover areas the WSIS dares not go, such as so-called 'intellectual property', mass media and community media, communication and poverty, and conflict etc. There is also an Irish connection too - me. I am the coordinator of this event, and also spokeperspon for the main organising entity, the CRIS Campaign. (see www.crisinfo.org)
