did everyone forget about that one?
That comes under the remit of another SPC and will not be debated on Tuesday.
The Greens arent worried about Bin Tax protestors being thrown in prison.
Long Live The Green Party Dictatorship Of The Middle Class!
What corny remark by the Silly Green Giant.
That is excellent news that the director of services has recommended this amendment.
Do you have any idea of the likelihood of it being passed?
It is absolutely vital that groups be allowed leaflet the public and poster a location in order to get the message across.
If worst came to worst I would propose groups that leaflet lend some time to the council in cleaning up an area - rather that having to forego the right to leaflet!!
Great work to the DFSAA group and to those who campaigned against the attempt to introduce these by-laws.
If this by-law were to be passed it could set an awful precedent for other cities to follow - which if they have any intelligence, I know the government would love - which would be a total disaster.
I hope it goes well on Tuesday night and hope too that this does not get pushed to the upcoming events section - which though a very good idea - I think announcements are getting lost in that section.
Niall Ó Brolcháin and the Green Party supports bin charges for working people and not for the oil corporations who generate and manufacture the plastics that we are struggling to keep out of our lives; He uses green issues as a vehicle to benefit his own political ambitions. He also pays lip service to the Irish language, it’s very fashionable to have ones name in Irish these days even though you don’t speak a word.
Congratulations to all involved in the DFSAA mobilisation against the leafleting ban. It was an energetic and imaginative campaign. This looks like a total victory (tho it would be advisable to remain on our guard for a little while longer)
The proposed ammendment is good news, and hopefully it will pass. The Director of services is being pro-active in proposing this ammendment.
However, the parks bye law is more complex, easier to fudge and a harder one to win. We should remain vigilant until the issues are dealt with.
