Colombia's show trial of three Irish patsies concludes. The trial of three Irishmen in Colombia draws to a close this week amid growing concerns for the safety of Niall Connolly, James Monaghan and Martin McCauley. The right of the three to be presumed innocent has been constantly undermined in statements emanating from senior military figures and in speculative press coverage. International observers are agreed that the trial would and should have collapsed long ago had international norms been respected. |

Whether they are guilty or not.
IMHO, it would be equally unfair if as innocent men they are convicted, or if as guilty men they are set free.
There's no way to know for sure which of them's going to happen yet.
with false passports(!). Then they said they were discussing peace initiatives (with the FARC). Heh, heh!
