the revolution is on![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() here and now the 3rd major major revolution is on the 2 major events contributing to the paradigm shift that is affecting the planets human population today. 1-views into atomic structure 2-seeing our home In 1543 the commonly held view of the world was that the earth was the centre of the universe and that everything else rotated around our planet. That all changed with the publication of The word revolution came into being as we know it today There is a lot of talk about revolution today, mostly people identify that with politics etc, 2 of the most major events have happened very recently which will, in time, be looked at 2 of the most contributing factors to the change in worldview from the old to the new These 2 events both came from our progression in science and technology and have and are contributing to the paradigm shift that is affecting the planets human population today. Firstly pre 1920`s the commonly held view of existence was that everything is made of atoms. Atoms were believed to be the smallest solid pieces of material. This view stemmed from the Greek philosopher democritus`s ideas on matter @ 3000 years ago. In the 1920`s technology was developed to study the nature of the atom, and the most bizarre things were found. The atom is not the smallest piece of matter, in fact 99% of it is empty and it is made up of sub atomic particles which fly around its structure at super quick speeds. So the scientists viewed this new information and developed the view that existence is a dynamic flow of energy which manifest itself in different forms. Everything is just made up of energy An interesting thing to note at this point is that this view of existence is more or less the same held as most of the eastern religions of the world, Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism for the last few thousand years. From those atomic observations the scientific world was brought to its knees, long held truths were shattered and we moved from an old and outdated static and mechanistic view of things to the new dynamic and holistic view of things. The second event - sometime, I’m not sure when, possibly mid 1960`s we got to see our first real image of planet earth from space. This had a profound effect on people. Even though we always knew it, seeing our planet alone in all its surrounding emptiness made us profoundly aware of the fact that we live on a single bit of rock, which happens to be floating in space. I believe more and more people are becoming educated about what matters in life and that they are taking steps to peacefully challenge existing unfair systems which result in the needless deaths of 7,000,000 people every year, unneeded war, poverty and environmental destruction. Millions are taking to the streets to challenge these systems. In the last 3 years we have seen the massive upsurge in street protest, Seattle, Prague and Genoa. More and more are starting to question what’s going on. We are part of the 3rd major world revolution after the agricultural, around 10,000 years ago, and the industrial, 200 years ago. We live in the technological and information age. Information is power.
