Old Head of Kinsale photos (At last!)![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry about the delay but finally some photos of last Sunday's People's Picnic at the Old Head of Kinsale. Photos show large garda and private security force blocking the entrance to the Old Head of Kinsale. Propagandists for the O'Connor brothers claimed that there were only 21 adults and 8 children at the People's Picnic. This was accepted without question by 96FM's Neil Prendeville despite the presence of a reporter on the scene from his station and it's sister station County Sound 103FM (Bandon). Of course this is not about numbers anyway, it's about principles, but the number we counted was 76 - not a good turnout, but given the appalling weather and the intimidating security presence we made our point. Not in the photo were the large number of private heavies lining the walls on either side of the gate and clad in tory blue vests with the Old Head Golflinks official crest (The Stone of Accord - ha ha!). The 'gentleman' in the close-up is Mr. Jim O'Brien, chief henchman of the O'Connors. |
