 Opening Times Giro's Resource Space new opening times from tommorrow. After a few weeks of frantic sawing, drilling, painting, shuffling & head scratching Giro’s* new Info-shop Resource Space finally opened its doors to the public on Mayday 2003, & from Wed 21st May has opening hours on 4 days a week. The space contains the Just Books distro, Direct Action Against Apathy zine library & photo archive, reference books a growing selection of videos (from local actions to undercurrents & riot-porn). We’re planning a cine club with film screenings fortnightly on Sunday evenings kicking of in June (watch this space). Most importantly it’s place where we can meet to dream & scheme. The Space has already been used as the kids’ area for Grassroots Gathering, Our Kitchen Anti War meetings, & base for Mayday Activities, Gluaiseacht AGM, building props for Food Not Bombs, anarcho jazz instruments for the Reclaim the Streets, & Belfast Food Co-op Meetings. The place is evolving, feel free to come along & get involved... Opening hours: Wed 12 – 8pm Stuff we need: Volunteers: to keep the place open, sort through resources, help run the space. Donations: books/videos/zines etc. that may be clogging up your life that you wanna pass on as a public resource. Free Stuff: to stock the Free Shop. *Giros an entirely volunteer run collective. Residing at our current location for the last 15 years operating under the umbrella of the Belfast Youth & Community Group (an official charity) & also known as the Warzone Collective we operate Belfast Musicians Collective providing studio & rehearsal space to bands, Giros Cafe Drop-in provides tasty veggie vegan food at prices not much higher than when the doors first opened in the 80’s. Our venue The Centre hosts a range of concerts, & club nights for local & touring performers. We also provide darkroom facilities to photographers. Wed 21st 9pm 'To Vote Or Not to Vote' discussion with representatives from the Green Party and the Anarcho Syndicalist Federation @ Giros. Yummy veggie/vegan food in the cafe.
This event winds up the Mayday Activities organised by the 'Our Kitchen' crew.

Evaluation Of Anti-war Activity
Tomorrow evening (Wed 21st) 7pm there will be an Evaluation of recent anti-war activity in Belfast facilitated by INNATE (Irish Network for Non-Violent Action Training & Education). This is an opportunity to look at what lessons can we learn from our experiences over the last few months, & how we can continue opposition to war & it’s causes. It takes place at Giros Resource Space/Info-space (1-5 Donegal Lane).
Public Speak Out Picnic #3
Sat 24th May 2pm. Tired of listening to experts on platforms telling you what’s wrong with war? Want to have your say? Come along to share your ideas & feelings with others who oppose War. Meet at the front of City Hall inside the grounds. Bring food to share.
Peace Activist Court Cases
Court Cases arising from arrests from Bush & Blair’s War & Peace Summit are ongoing. The two people arrested inside Hillsborough next appear in Lisburn Magistrate Court (situated right next to the train station) on the 2nd of June at 10am. Charges are for ‘public order offences’.
4 people arrested outside Belfast City Hall are to appear in Belfast Magistrates (Laganside) Courts on 12th June 10am & another 2 on the 26th June again at 10am. The charges are ‘obstructive sitting’ & ‘resisting arrest’.
Come along to the courts to show support & solidarity & to protest the fact that the real criminals Bush & Blair are not on trial.
