On the 30th April, Tom Cooney, law lecturer in University College, Dublin, with an academic interest in international law and human rights issues, wrote an enlightening article that puts a more balanced perspective on the The Israel-Palestine conflict and the shameful support being provided by the the UN and the EU to the Palestinian propaganda campaign and its efforts to condemn Israel.

The crimes committed by the Zionists in Jenin and other Palestinian population centres are not just shameful, crimes such as the use of palestinian civilians as human shields, the abduction of wounded palestinian civilians, the extra judical killings of civilians, the use of torture are all war crimes and clear breaches of the fourth Geneva Convention. Their friends in Washington (who have committed their own share of crimes, Vietnam, Central America etc. etc.) certainly do not have to provide them with training on that part of their activites. The Human Rights Watch site gives a number of examples of the most appalling crimes which can be compared in character, in not in scale to those of the German fascists.

It starts off by declaring that the Israeli assault on Jenin was "proportionate" and then it just gets worse! It's just rhetorical posturing with a complete absence of moral framework and factual underpinning. Thanks for posting the link though. It's interesting to see what some people are "thinking".
