WHY NO NUMBERS?

Is there a good reason why these Garda arnt wearing any numbers? This is not the way to regain public trust

the Guard with no numbers must be from outside the DMR

Surely if a garda is on offical duty he is required to wear ID numbers (regardless of DMR). If any solicitors are viewing this, maybe you can inform us what the staute law states.

Photos should be sent to all the press to expose this.

I was wondering that same question last night. I notice that the Inspectore (the one with the cap) has no numbers last night and I was wondering whether senior officers were not obliged to wear numbers.

Its actually ok, there are some circumstances where Gardaí are allowed to wear non-numbered clothing, for instance, if they spill some soup onto their numbered shirt, obviously that'll have to go into the wash and if there just happens to be a street party the next day, well what can you do? Can't go out batoning people with a soup-stained shirt.
