US tell UN to Butt Out

US pressures General Assembly not to meet

An extraordinary communication from the United States to UN representatives around the world has been leaked to Greenpeace. In it, the United States warns that the simple act of support for a General Assembly meeting to discuss the war will be considered "unhelpful and directed against the United States." They further threaten that invoking the Uniting for Peace resolution will be "harmful to the UN."

Greenpeace has been actively lobbying at the United Nations against the war, and many delegates have expressed both publicly and privately their distaste for what they see as US attempts to "strongarm" the world community to do as it is told. One delegate was so incensed with the memo circulated by the US that he leaked the full document.

The Uniting for Peace resolution, which the US is trying to head off, has a long history of stopping conflict. Ironically, it has most often been invoked by the US to overcome vetoes by the Soviet Union during the cold war. Under its terms, the full 191 member United Nations General Assembly can gather to make recommendations for restoring the peace when the Security Council is deadlocked or unable to take action. Somewhat hilariously, one of the reasons the US says the General Assembly should not take up the issue of war in Iraq is that the "Security Council remains seized of this matter." Seized is certainly the correct term: the engine of peace is simply not turning.

There are those who say that the United Nations has been harmed by the Security Council debate on Iraq and the US coalition action without authorisation. However, it can also be said that the UN showed extraordinary strength in withstanding the pressure to rubber-stamp an illegal invasion. The only course of action open now to the global community is to demand the immediate end of hostilities and a return to UN-sanctioned disarmament measures. It's the right thing to do for world peace, it's the right thing to do for the future of the United Nations.

In the past two weeks, Greenpeace Cyberactivists have been part of the global outcry for an emergency session of the UN. We've sent a record 60,000 appeals to United Nations representatives calling for the General Assembly to denounce the war in Iraq and to call for an immediate cease-fire. And despite the fierce US pressure, it looks like our global demand will be met.

A press announcement by the Arab League Monday confirms that they will be invoking the "Uniting for Peace" resolution to bring all 191 member nations of the UN together. "The point of the request is to save the lives of Iraqi civilians," one Arab diplomat said to the Associated Press. "We will ask for a cease-fire and a return to peaceful disarmament in Iraq."

Dozens of other nations have already gone on record saying they will support the call for an emergency session. We urge the General Assembly to meet swiftly and give shape to the global voices that are demanding an end to this illegal war.

Amerika has mutated into Nazi Germany, it was really only a question of time if you look into the background. The civilized world has to decide what weapons now to employ against this immoral and decadent nation that seems hell bent on starting a world wide conflagration.

If the Amerikan corporate death machine destroys Irak and reduces Baghdad to rubble then we have surely forgotten the lesson of Stalingrad.

All who dissent from Bush's "Global God inspired Vision" will be treated with about the same courtesy as those who condemned the Nazis.

Of course the Bush family has a long history of doing evil things in order to make a few bucks!

Bush family's dirty little secret:
President's oil companies funded by Bin Laden family and wealthy Saudis who financed Osama bin Laden
ByRick Wiles
Copyright: American Freedom News
September 2001

President Bush recently signed an executive order to freeze the US financial assets of
corporations doing business with Osama bin Laden. He described the order as a
"strike on the financial foundation of the global terror network.”
"If you do business with terrorists, if you support or succor them, you will not do business with the United States," said President Bush. He didn't say anything about doing business with a terrorist's brother – orhis wealthy financier. When President George W. Bush froze assets connected to Osama bin Laden, he didn'ttell the American people that the terrorist mastermind's late brother was an investor in the president's former oil business in Texas. He also hasn't leveled with the American public about his financial connections to a host of shady Saudi characters involved in drug cartels, gun smuggling, and  terrorist networks.
Doing business with the enemy is nothing new to the Bush family. Much of the Bush family wealth came from supplying needed raw materials and credit to Adolf Hitler's Third Reich. Several business operations managed by Prescott Bush – the president's grandfather - were seized by the US government during World War II under the Trading with the Enemy Act.
On October 20, 1942, the federal government seized the Union Banking Corporation in
New York City as a front operation for the Nazis. Prescott Bush was a director.  Bush, E. Roland Harriman, two Bush associates, and three Nazi executives owned the bank's shares.  Eight days later, the Roosevelt administration seized two other corporations managed by Prescott Bush.  The Holland-American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation, both managed by the Bush-Harriman bank, were accused by the US federal government of being front organizations for Hitler's Third Reich.  Again, on November 8, 1942, the federal government seized Nazi-controlled assets of Silesian-American Corporation, another Bush-Harriman company doing business with Hitler.
Doing business with the bin Laden empire, therefore, is only the latest extension of the Bush family's financial ties to unsavory individuals and organizations. Now that thousands of American citizens have died in terrorist attacks and the nation is going to war, the American people should know about George W. Bush's relationship with the family of Osama bin Laden. Salem bin Laden, Osama's older brother, was an investor in Arbusto Energy. – the Texas oil company started by George W. Bush. Arbusto means “Bush” in Spanish.

Bush is a dangerous liability. Recently he tried to distract us, from the fact that it was his idea to go into Iraq, pointing the finger at the nearest jew around which happened to be Rumsfled. As usual Rumsfeld is only there in capacity as a fall guy for the likes of nazi blockhead Bush. You can bet that Bush won't stop at Bagdad, the question is where next?, probably anywhere there's oil.

The trumped up arrogant bully has already started throwing shapes at Syria (apparently they *may* have supplied weapons or assistance to Saddams regime).
Jesus christ they really have no idea what theyve gotten themselves (and all of us) into.
