Saturday March 22, 2003 17:32 by Cork Anti-War Campaign
Anti-War protesters occupy Fianna Fail regional offices. Martin goes home. A group of Cork Anti-War protesters briefly occupied the Regional Offices of Fianna Fail in Cork's Grand Parade today (Saturday) in protest at the government's decision granting of military refueling and over-flight facilities to the United States in the prosecution of its illegal war against Iraq. Shortly after 12 noon protesters from the Cork Anti-War Campaign rushed the door of the Cork Fianna Fail office. Banners reading "No to War" and "FF Traitors" were placed in the front windows. Health Minister Micheal Martin, who was one of those who made the decision to allow the refueling, was in the office at the time and left shortly afterwards. Gardai rushed to the offices and pushed through the barricades. The protesters left peacefully and there were no arrests. |

You'll get Micheal into big trouble with the big boss!
Perhaps 'Max' could his door kicked in? I'm guessing its in Lucia Place.
The following report of Cork FF occupation is taken from irishantiwar.org:
A group of over a dozen Cork anti-war activists occupied the regional headquarters of Fianna Fail in the city this morning. Minister Michael Martin was in the building and the protesters quickly occupied his office, causing him to flee the building. Within a short time of him leaving, Gardai made their way into the building through a back-door that the group had failed to spot. The protesters, who remained peaceful throughout, then left the offices having made their point. The occupation lasted about 20 minutes in total.
The Minister for Education will be attending the USIU congress in Killarney on Thursday lunchtime. A great opportunity for the people of Kerry and students to tell the government what they think of them.
