my last review of the current series.

The Moon is full over the desert and visibility is high for the Iraqi front line troops. They can be forgiven for thinking the U.S. will not invade this week, it goes against orthodox military planning, but the Iraqi frontline troops know nothing of the games the US War machine plays.

In the last year I have contributed over 150,000 words in comments, articles, essays, jokes, slogans, and text against this WAR.

In doing so I have changed nothing.

Yesterday Aznar returned from the Azores and saw the Audiencia Nacional of España the judiciary vote unanimously to bar HB and the Basque prisoner support association from contesting elections ever again in Spain.

The final legal block has been put on Basque seperatism, a process which began a few weeks before the 25th anniversary of party politics in Spain. A process that has seen the first illegalisation of a political party in Europe since the late 1940s. A process that has seen the only Basque language daily newspaper closed. A process that caused many all the opposition parties and journalist unions of Spain to warn that the fundemental rights of Freedom of Speech and Association are at risk.

Yesterday was reported the death of a young leftist activist at the hands of a fascist mob in Italy.

Yesterday was reported the death of a young American pacifist woman crushed under an Israeli bulldozer in Palestine.

Yesterday Robin Cook, the man who spat ignorant censure against his people for many years attempt to climb a moral highground.

Yesterday Fine Gael Ireland's opposition party called for the Irish Government to stop the USAF using Shannon.

Yesterday the UN withdrew the last of its observers in Kuwait and Iraq. The USAF has arrived.

250,000 soldiers have arrived.
more soldiers are assembled than people in the greater Shannon area.

Last weekend a month after over a ten million people demonstrated against this War worldwide some fewer millions returned to the streets.

In Barcelona 300,000 people formed a human chain between the PP (party of Aznar)offices and the U.S. consulate.

Barcelona has called for an open consultation on this war through the "Stop the War" platform.

I joined with some muppets as before to commit an act of civil disobedience, paint was introduced to a fountain infront of the argentian consulate so that the fountains would run with blood.

We muppets caused a pink fountain.
hint to others two part brown one part red gives blood. three parts red gives pink.

So the muppets of 'espai alliberat contre le guerra' like muppets world wide know we have not stopped this WAR.

{we just ain't important enough}

remember that.
please.
remember too that there is death abroad.
in the desert in the moonlight.
that there is death on the streets.
that there is death in language.
that there are still and yet more prisoners of a tradition of national determination that now have again no legal voice either to engage in peaceful resolution of their problems or to threaten more of what came before.

Remember that they only had a little short of 25
years.
Remember that Iraq is not a unitary nation state.
it had only since 1916 existed so.
Remember that Saddam was one of the worst tyrants and criminals to weild power these last fifty years but no worse than Pinochet.
Remember that you did your best perhaps to touch the conscience of someone who mattered, of someone who could stop this WAR.
Remember what you did what those around you did so that some day it might be done again.
Remember that we none of us know when that day might be.

I do not intend to write on Iraq anymore.
nor comment.
I wrote four months ago that Venezueala was more important.
it was.
I can not bear the idea of daily commentary on the propaganda that will now be our quotidien Television fodder no matter where we live.
so please find other battles to fight to write about. Leave death in the desert under the Full Moon and blinding pyrotechnic displays of US 21st century warfare.

It has taken him almost 4 years to come to the conclusion.
almost 1000 days.

He has been wheeled out again to give support to the party he leads as it expropriates the anthem and flag of Spain and lurches further right each day. He now says "everyone thought" there were WMD. "everyone thought" the Azores summit of Blair & Bush & Aznar would usher in a new world Atlantic order where Castillian nationalism and her language sat down with Oil & Blood. No-one I talked to then thought this, no-one I remember going to the street almost every week then thought this. No-one who seriously wondered how could Aznar lie so blatently about everything & get away with it - thought this.

The poor saps of the PSOE want him or the leader of the PP he left behind Rajoy to apologise.
I've gone past waiting on them to apologise for the lies. "it wasn't Al Qaeda". "there was no General Strike". "there were WMD". "spanish soldiers didnt go to fight Iraqis just to help them". "we didnt censor or bias the news". "the Prestige and all its oil didn't sink".

What a wonderful title this article had - lying there in the archives - waiting on the day -
How many dead did Aznar & his new found pals in the Coalition of the Willing have to forget?
