an italian anti-fascist militant stabbed and killed by nazis

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Tuesday March 18, 2003 00:53author by fighter Report this post to the editors

and the police attacked the antifascists

A very sad fact happened yesterday in Milan .A 26 years old guy Davide Cesare has been stabbed and killed during a fascist aggression.

His name was Davide Cesare ,he was 26 .Yesterday night he was at the pub with his friends and there was a brutal aggression by a group of nazi who used knifes agaist him.He was stabbed and he died some minutes later. The police instead of searching the murderers of Davide ,attacked the antifascists militant and the riots continued even in the hospital where Davide's friends asked to visit his body, but it was denied.
Davide was a true leftist militant,he was a car driver and he had a 4 yours old daughter and his girlfriend.
Today there were manifestations alla around Italy.
If you want to see more go there

Davide vive e lotta insieme a noi!!

And if I recall many people on indymedia were calling for freedom of speech for these fascists.

Fascists are not interested in freedom of speech, they want to use it to attack the workers movement. We should not give any platform to fascists unless we want something like this happening in Ireland.

Tonight in via Brioschi, near the Navigli area (Milan) a small group of fascists deliberate attacked three militants with knives. One of the three, hit at the throat and chest, fell down on the ground and died in a few minutes. Afterwards some people spontaneously gathered at the S. Paolo Hospital for a demonstration.
The police and carabinieri (the military police) reacted charging violently the demostrators and arresting some of them.
Less than a hour after the murdering, the disinformation machine was up and running: the ANSA (the most important italian news agency) said "a riot between young dissidents groups had taken place in Milan". The evident aim of the newsblast was to turn the fascist aggression and the violent police repression at the office into the 'typical bad evening caused by noglobal violence'.

We are here to repeat that instead of 'riot' we can clearly talk about 'deliberate aggression', an assault which costed the life of a young man.
And we confirm that the police and carabinieri protected the fascists and covered up the facts, charging with tonfas and baseball bats (as reported by direct witnesses) the people demonstrating their solidarity outside the hospital.

It was a virtual murder of a virtual leftist by a virtual fascist. It will be resolved by the gaining of a mass-based people's r-r-revolutionary movement who will be educated out of their lumpenproletarian beliefs by spirited rhetoric in parliament.

its scary..its like to go back in the time..sometimes i would like to put my head underground for not seeing and hearing all the shit..What police did in the hospital reminds us of Genova. I am afraid, to tell you the truth. I am sorry that my first reaction to that violence its fear, before than anger, as it should be, but i am beeing honest: i am afraid.

e piú la reacione de gli irlandese qua no?
io ho paura tanti anni pensare en Italia como e cambiato, como mi sembra che ha cominscuito de perdere a su stesso. e é iguali ovunque.
paura=terror.
This was a real death.
not virtual. the comments above and the attempts to make light of this crime so as to continue attacks on others in Ireland is disheartening but something I have come to expect.
at times like this I suppose I truly am glad not to live in Ireland anymore.

This is a very serious development and shows that the State intends to attack and kill activists
who are against this war and fascism, through the use of groups such as these. I mean, they are
defending the bastards and attacking us for God sake! History is truly being repeated and we are
in the midst of great, but unwelcome change at this very moment.

I can't understand some of the silly comments above. I guess there were similar people making the
same stupid comments during the rise of fascism in the 1930s. It's time for people to wake up and
help nip this thing in the bud.

they accused the people who followed the ambulance to the hospital of wanting to steal the body! this is absourd. And anyway they couldnt know he was dead because he died going to the hospital, or there, i dont know exactly. But this is one of the stupid excuses that made police go there end beeing so violent. People were badly beaten while they were having medical assistance.
how can i not be scared? easy to say that i should wake up, easy to talk.
